William Hubbard, III Obituary

William “Bill” Louis Hubbard, III departed this life on Tuesday, July 8, 2025. He was born in New Orleans, Louisiana on April 7, 1961, to the late William L. Hubbard, II and Ramona Fascio Hubbard.

 

As a New Orleans native, he attended Joseph S. Clark High School. He moved to Slidell, LA in 1979 and attended Salmen High. In 1981, he married Trellis Cooper, and their union was blessed with three boys. Bill always took pride in working with his hands and big machinery. He worked at Louisiana Gas Company, Mike's Hardware, Avondale Shipyard, and Sparrows Offshore. In 2018, he began working in the maintenance department at AWG in Pearl River, LA until he retired in 2023. Bill loved cooking and entertaining family, old movies, and the New Orleans Saints.

 

He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Trellis; his children, William IV (Kimberly), Blake, Byron (Brittany) Hubbard; his grandchildren, William V, Kayla, Khia, Bryan, Breylon, and Kaleah Hubbard; his sister, Marla (Aaron) Meadors; two godchildren, Tanisha Davis and Gordon Meadors; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends who will all cherish his memory.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents, William II and Ramona Hubbard, and his in-laws, Mildred and Murphy Cooper.
