Wesley Anthony Herndon

 Wesley Anthony Herndon, 34, of Covington, LA, passed away on October 5, 2023 at St. Tammany Parish Hospital in Covington, LA. . He was born on May 25, 1989, in Hattiesburg, MS. Wesley was a talented and creative individual, with a passion for carpentry and music. He taught himself how to play the guitar and keyboard, and took pride in his work as a self-employed professional house painter. Wesley was also experienced in HVAC systems and had a gift for cooking. Described as a loving, compassionate, down-to-earth, and simple man, Wesley cherished his family and was the best uncle, son, and brother. He had a deep bond with his loved ones and leaves behind his mother, Laurie McDaniel, his sister, Rebekka Herndon, his brother, Anthony Clay Herndon, his sister, Devan Weston, his sister, Kaci Lee, and his girlfriend/best friend, Madison Bordelon. Wesley was also a proud uncle to many nieces and nephews. Wesley's kindness and generosity extended beyond his lifetime, as he saved the lives of seven others through his choice to be an organ donor. He was preceded in death by his father, Anthony "Tony" Herndon, his paternal grandparents, Winston Mondel Herndon and Mary Magdalene Reid Herndon, and his maternal grandparents, Jerome Theodore Dupont, Jr. "Ted" and Diane Sison Dupont. Wesley graduated from Mt. Ida High School in 2007 in Mt. Ida, AK. He later attended Pearl River Community College in Poplarville, MS. A memorial service to celebrate Wesley's life will be held on Saturday, October 21, 2023, at Springhill Baptist Church located at 75 Powell Rd, Lumberton, MS 39455. Family visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m., followed by the memorial service at 11:00 a.m. Interment will take place after the service. Wesley Anthony Herndon will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. May he rest in peace.
