Sheena Dione Thomas

Sheena Dione Thomas, 49, of Denton, TX, passed away on 3/29/2021 in Hammond LA.  She was born in Denton, TX to Gay Elaine Denmark and Walter Hillard on September 22, 1971.  She obtained her GED from and attended Job Corps in Guthrie, Ok, graduating with at degree in Business Administration.  She was married to Chris Thomas on April 30, 1994 in Denton, TX.

Sheena loved arts and crafts, flowers, jewelry and makeup.  She was always saving bits and pieces and odd ends because she saw a potential in even the smallest of things.  She was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister and friend.  Her children and grandchildren were her greatest joys and her most treasured moments were shared with them.  Nana was her favorite name in the world.  She had a playful sense of humor, smile that could light up the darkest room and an infectious laugh that could be heard a mile away.

Sheena is preceded in death by her mother(Gay Elaine Denmark) and father(Walter Hillard).

She is survived by her husband of 26 years, Chris Thomas; Son, Clinton Ray Ortego; Daughter, Felicia Neann Thomas; Son, Christopher Phillip Thomas; Brother, John Hillard; Grandchildren, Mason Ray Phillip Thomas, Brayden Anthony Thomas, Alaina Catherine Ortego, Chris Thomas, Amelia Claire Schiro and Kaisley Nicole Thomas;  Aunts, Mary Petty Brungot and Cheryl Marker and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family will receive friends from 9:00 A.M. to 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, April 10, 2021 at Affordable Funeral Home, 317 W 30th Ave, Covington LA with services to immediately follow.
