Raymond “Gator” Parker was born on January 28, 1962, to Lydia and Herbert Parker, Sr. in New Orleans, LA. Raymond served in the Army National Guard. He also worked at Lacombe Nursing Home and as a concrete layer with Roosevelt Ross for many years. Raymond accepted Christ as his Savior at the age of 58 and was united with The El-Bethel Worship Center. At his time of death, he resided in Lacombe, LA. Raymond enjoyed watching westerns. He also loved spending time with his niece Tonita and with his children and family. He leaves to cherish his precious memories; his children, Cohen Vander (Tasha), Angelica Parker, Cedric Hinton, and Tyrus Parker; his 8 grandchildren; his sisters, Isabel Landor (Evans), Joanne Batiste (Darryl), and Sylvia Casnave (Edward); his special cousin, Roy Parker; his friends, Gary Landor, Prentiss Frank, and Charles Schneider, Jr.; his brother-in-law, Edward Casnave; and a host of other family members and friends. Raymond was preceded in death by his parents, Herbert Parker, Sr. and Lydia Parker; his grandparents; Wallace Parker, Pauline Parker, Olivia Bernard, and Alfonse Bernard; his brother, Herbert Parker, Jr.; and his sister, Doris Batiste.
