Odell Houston Kidd, affectionately known as "Son Kidd" or "Rambo" was born Wednesday, June 10, 1936, to Ms. Odell Francis and Mr. June Houston Lee. He was reared by Ms. Margaret Kidd and Mr. Johnny Sanchez. Mr. Kidd was a life-long native of Bogalusa, LA. He worked various jobs throughout his life and own a lawn care service for over 40 years until his health failed him at age 76. Mr. Kidd was a long time member of New Triumph Baptist Church for over four decades, where he served in Brotherhood and other areas of ministry faithfully. He was well known for his kind heart, dedication to his family, and strong work ethic.
He leaves to cherish his memory a daughter, Brenda Lenoir Carter (Cardale); a son, Alvin Richardson (Gloria); two grandchildren, Shaneil Lenoir-Byrd (Anthony) and Kevin Magee; three great-grandchildren, Brendan Byrd, Alicea Byrd and Anthony "Tony" Byrd; a nephew, Glynn Abram; two nieces, Robin Stephens and Tonita Spikes and a host of other nieces, nephews, and relatives whom he loved.
He was proceded in death by his significant other of 52 years, Alice M. Lenoir; his parents; adoptive parents; one sister, Hattie Abram; a niece, Tina Brister; two uncles, Roscoe Kidd and Rosie Kidd.
