Nevaeh gained her heavenly wings on
December 10, 2025 at four months of age, at Our Lady
of the Lake Children’s Hospital. Born on August 5, 2025,
at St. Tammany Hospital, Nevaeh Imani Dunn entered
this world at 24 weeks and 3 days and showed strength
and extraordinary determination from the very beginning.
She spent 106 days in the NICU, courageously fighting
while being surrounded by endless love and care.
During her time on earth, Nevaeh, affectionately known as “Red Bean,” was deeply loved and brought immeasurable joy to her family. She was known for her sweet spirit and her love of cuddling with her mom and dad. Though her life was brief, Nevaeh’s impact is everlasting. She leaves behind cherished memories that will forever live in the hearts of all who loved her. She leaves behind cherished memories that will forever live in the hearts of those who loved her.
She is survived by her parents, Devon Dunn and La’Deja Wilson, of Baton Rouge, LA; grandparents, Daytona Dykes of Franklinton, LA and Monica Dunn of Baton Rouge, LA; great-grandparents Dorothy Dykes of Franklinton, LA and Lloyd Dunn (Rose) of Baton Rouge, LA; three uncles, Deandre’ Dunn of Baton Rouge, LA, Richard Dillon (Tamara Wilson) and Kaleb Dillon of Franklinton, LA; 1 aunt LaRoya Dykes of Franklinton, LA, 3 beloved godbrothers, Jru May of Hammond, LA, Kyzer Johnson of Baton Rouge, LA and Jaheim Hammond of Humble, TX, along with a host of other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Colie Wilson, Jr.; maternal great grandparents Leroy Burkhalter, Colie Sr and
Fannie Wilson; paternal great grandmother Linda Dunn.
