Ms. Mary Lee Crandle Edwards, 73, a resident of Covington, Louisiana passed away on Wednesday, January 15, 2020.
Mary Edwards, 72 was born on April 30, 1947 to the late Sylvester and Amelia “Millie” Crandle in New Orleans, Louisiana.
Mary Lee accepted Christ as her Personal Savior at an early age and was united with the New Hope Baptist Church in Abita Springs, then she served as an Usher at the Rose Hill Missionary Baptist Church. Mary enjoyed spending time with family and friends, crocheting, garage sales and eating crawfish. She was employed by St. Tammany Hospital in Housekeeping for 32 year. She later worked for St. Tammany Parish School Board as Janitor at Abita Elementary for 3 years.
She is survived by her three children, Mary Flot White (Artie), Jimmie Flot, Jr. (Erica) and Darnell Edwards (Robyn); seventeen grandchildren; twenty-four great grandchildren; one sister, Leatha Hollins and a host of nieces and nephews whom she loved so dearly.
Mary was proceeded in death by her parents, Sylvester & Amelia “Millie” Crandle; two brothers, Willie Crandle and Earl Crandle; four sisters, Thelma Watts, Bertha Buckley, Dorthy Clark and Rita Mae Clark.
