Obituary

Malik Clyde Arnold, a New Orleans, LA resident, was born on Sunday, August 9, 1998, to his beloved mother, Syntrell Taylor, and father, Stanley Fulton Jr., and transitioned to be with the Lord on June 13, 2023. He had a humble spirit and was well respected and loved by everyone who met him. Malik attended McMain Magnet High School, where he was an overachiever on the football field, initiating recruitment to L.B. Landry High School's championship-winning football team. He graduated in 2016 as a Charging Buccaneer. As a result of his tremendous athletic accomplishments, he received a Redshirt football scholarship at Tyler Texas Junior College.

Malik was destined for the NFL, and sports has been his passion since he started playing football at the early age of 5. Malik was an all-around athlete and started playing park ball with Milne Park. He also had a love for baseball and played with the Monarchs All-Star traveling team, which led to his selection for the All-star football team at St. Roch Park. Malik had a strong work ethic. He worked at Walmart in Tyler, Texas, and at the Sewerage and Water Board in New Orleans.

Left with broken, grieving hearts to cherish his memories are his only son, Codei; his devoted parents, Syntrell Taylor (Jeffery), Stanley Fulton Jr. (Ja’net), and Byram Joshua; his loving siblings, Breianna, Chad Jr., Skyah, Demontaze, Stanley, Amani, Tamia, Ronald, and Jeffery Jr.; his endearing grandparents, Kim Arnold, Carl Taylor Sr. (Vanessa), Sharon Murphy (Lawrence), and Sidney Joshua (Dolly); his great grandmother, Ethal Falls; great aunts Murl Hines and Vivian Jones; aunts, Tenika, Loren, Anicia, Sera, Dasia and Aleisha; uncles, Terry Sr., Derrick, Craig, Ryan, and Carl Jr.; and a host of close cousins, other relatives, teammates, coaches, and family friends. Malik was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Stanley Fulton Sr., and Samuel Duncan; his uncles, Earnest Arnold Sr., Gary Arnold, and Joshua Taylor; and his close cousin, Terry Arnold Jr.
