Ken Charboneau AKA Kenny Sue, age 80, of Slidell La, passed away March 11, 2023 in his home. Ken was born February 19, 1943 in Mountain Home Idaho. He was a decorated Eagle Scout and graduated Highschool from Oceanside High. He joined the United States Navy on February 5, 1962 serving 4 years, he was a Vietnam Veteran. Ken moved to Louisiana in 1966. He worked for Marine Industrial Cable until 2005, retiring after 38 years. Ken was a passionate Inventor and Entrepreneur. Ken was actively involved in sailing, traveling and working on his beloved farm, “K&B Farm”. We all know he loved his cigars while tinkering or enjoying the weather but mostly, he loved spending time with family and friends. Whether it was having a good meeting of the minds or having a “down right good time”. Ken spent his last 35 years with his loving wife, Brenda R. Charboneau.Kenneth R. Charboneau is survived by his wife, Brenda R. Charboneau, 1 brother Gary Charboneau, Grandaughters Stephanie Alfaro Charboneau “Andres Alfaro” Stephanie “Nicole” Lide, Jessica Smith, Erin & Kayla Hamilton, and 15 Great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents Victor B. Charboneau & Dorothy M. Charboneau,1 daughter Kim R. Charboneau, 3 Stepchildren: John R. Lide, Tracy E. Hamilton and Jason B. Hamilton. A special thanks to doctors and nurses at the Southeast Louisiana Veterans Hospital in New Orleans Louisiana for the wonderful care, respect and genuine concern for his health, the wonderful palliative care team as well as the wonderful Heart of Hospice for making his transition with the utmost kindness & care.
