Joseph Lorenz, born December 3, 1945, to Milton and Georgette Lorenz, passed away peacefully at his home on February 25, 2025. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Linda Lorenz.
Joseph is survived by his children, Heath Lorenz and Jodi Ridley (Russell), as well as his stepchildren, Elvia Ramirez (Charles), Jose Rivera (Karen), Maria Newbill (Jay), Linda Roberts (Robin), and Luis Rivera (Jennifer). He is also survived by his only remaining sibling, Carol Brand (Harold), many grandchildren and great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his siblings: Russell Lorenz, Audrey Swan, Milton Lorenz Jr., Ernie Lorenz, and Lucille Lorenz.
Joseph served his country with honor in the Navy during the Vietnam War. After his service, he dedicated over 40 years to a career in construction, making a name for himself in Drywall Finishing. He had a passion for sports and was a proud and unwavering LSU fan, often saying he "bled purple and gold."
A memorial will be held on Saturday, March 15 2025 at 1:00 at Celebration Church on 1615 Old Spanish Trail in Slidell.
