Fay Lee Cyprian, affectionately known as Fay, was born on January 09, 1951, at Charity Hospital in New Orleans, Louisiana. She was the daughter of Helas Cyprian and Gracie Brumfield Cyprian, who instilled in her the values of God and hard work. Fay received her education from Covington High School in Covington, Louisiana. She was a hardworking and dedicated person. Fay worked in various restaurants for years; to name a few: Denny's, Country Kitchen, and Ray's Drive Inn for many years. She was once employed in the St. Tammany Parish School Systems as a cafeteria worker. Cooking and singing were passions that she possessed. Fay had a big smile and was a true giver, and she gave from the heart.
Fay accepted Christ at an early age and stayed on the battlefield for the Lord. Even with health issues, Fay did not let that stop her. She was a member of Greater Payne Chapel A.M.E. Church, where she was a dedicated and faithful member. She was known for giving a warm, beautiful welcome on programs and was a dedicated choir member and on the Steward Board as well. She would help anywhere she was needed.
Fay loved her children and family and talking on the telephone, checking on everyone. She enjoyed watching the New Orleans Saints games with Bryant and would sometimes say, "We lost again."
Fay leaves to cherish her memories her sons, Bryant Cyprian Sr. and Alvarez (LaTonya) Cyprian, and daughter, Kieanna Mitchell; one sister, Carol Cyprian, and one sister-in-law, Donzella Cyprian; fifteen (15) grandchildren; twelve (12) great-grandchildren; and a very special devoted caregiver, Irene Partman, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
She was preceded in death by both her parents, Helas and Gracie Cyprian; two sons: Eric Alfreeman Cyprian and Travis Spencer Robertson; three brothers: Edgar, Rodney, and Timothy Cyprian; two sisters: Mavis Cyprian and Lenora Lampton; and five nephews and one great-niece.
Fay's legacy of love, faith, and beautiful smile will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
