Eva Beavers Obituary

Eva Pearl Beavers was born in Angie, LA on February 2, 1931 to the late Pearlie Weary Russ and the late Otis Thompson. She transitioned to her new home on February 7, 2025 at her home in Varnado,  LA. She was a member of Greater Baptist Church where she often attended until her health failed.  For 25 years, she was employed by New Orleans Housing Authority as a Home Health Aide until her retirement, then she move back home to Angie, LA after living in New Orleans for many years.

Sis. Beavers was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She opened her home to anyone and took care of so many people during their sickness and illness. She had a heart of gold and was loved by many. She left this earth at 94 with a very sharp mind. She knew everything and anything going on. Yes, she was the sharpest knife in the cabinet.

She leaves to cherish her loving memories: her children, two sons, Otis Mingo, Angie LA and Daniel Mingo. and daughter, Sylvia Alexander, Bogalusa, LA; her granddaughters, Kashmia Robertson, Houston, TX  and Karisma (Roderick) Vales, Lacombe, LA ; special great-grandchildren, Isaiah Alexander, Cla'Darriun Robertson, Kylin Robertson, Kaden Robertson, Quantrell Robertson and Zyriah Bickham (Sweet Pea), all of Varnado, LA; (17) grandchildren, (29) great-grandchildren, (1) great-grandchild; godchildren, Lois Thompson, New Orleans LA and KeAmber Gray, Baton Rouge, LA., and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.
