Deborah Maher Hughes

Deborah “Debbie” Maher Hughes,67, was born in New Orleans, LA and a longtime resident of Slidell, LA passed away on Tuesday, March 24, 2026. She was proceeded in death by her mother, May Rose Orlando, her father. Joseph Kevin Maher, and sister, Jo Marie Maher. She is survived by her daughter, Amy Hughes, grandson, Landon Hoffman, brother, Alvin Anthony Smith, longtime companion of over 40 years, Jimmy Ray Mason and a host of nieces and nephews. Debbie was born in New Orleans, LA on April 19, 1958. She attended Andrew Jackson High School in Chalmette, LA. She worked over 20 years in retail and was recognized for her hard work and dedication. She enjoyed spending time on the Mississippi Coast and taking care of her beloved animals and plants. Debbie had a big heart and showed it in so many ways. She is loved by many and will be missed dearly.
