Deborah Naquin Obituary

DEBORAH ANN MADER (NAQUIN)

1955 - 2025

Deborah Ann Mader (Naquin), born on February 18, 1955, entered eternal rest on January 14, 2025, at the age of 69. She was a resident of Violet, LA for the past 68 years before becoming a resident of Holden, LA where she resided under her sister’s care.

Deborah was the beloved daughter of the late Rodney P. Mader Sr. and Loretta Marie St. Germain Mader. She was a cherished sister to Terri Mader Jackson (Erick) and she is reunited in heaven with her late brother, Rodney P. Mader, Jr. and infant sister, Karen Ann.

A devoted mother and grandmother, Deborah gave selfishly to her three children and seven grandchildren without expecting anything in return. Deborah also treasured the companionship of her dear friends Garrielynn Landry, Karen Mutate, Antionette Pea, and niece, Madison Jackson,  whose care and friendship became a source of comfort and strength during the most difficult time of her life here on Earth.

Some of Deborah’s happiest days were spent while working at Jeanfreau’s Meat Market in St. Bernard Parish.  In March 2023, she retired after many years of dedicated service. She often spoke about the meaningful relationships with co-workers and customers who enriched her life.

Deborah’s primary caregiver and sister, Terri, extends her deepest gratitude to the staff of Fidelis House 1 for their compassionate care during Deborah’s brief stay. They went above and beyond to make sure she passed peacefully and without pain. She would also wish to thank Interim, Bridgeway, and Anvoy Hospice agencies for their unwavering support during this difficult time. Her nurses and CNA’s cared for her with much love and compassion.

Honoring Deborah’s wishes, a private burial and ceremony will be held to celebrate her life and legacy.

May Deborah Ann’s memory serve as a source of comfort and inspiration to all who were blessed to know her, and a reminder that, regardless of the circumstances, caring for a parent should always be viewed as a privilege, not an obligation or burden.
