Darrell, aged 61, was born on December 12, 1963, to Wallace Sanders and Catherine Holloway Sanders in Independence, Louisiana.
He received his education through the Hammond School System and continued his studies in Hammond. Darrell married his cherished wife, Denise Patterson Sanders, and spent his entire life as a resident of Hammond, where he worked as a cement finisher.
From a young age, Darrell accepted Christ as his Savior and became a member of New Day Missionary Baptist Church. He had a deep passion for football, loved the color blue, and was a dedicated supporter of the New Orleans Saints.
Darrell is survived by his beloved wife, Denise Patterson Sanders; his children, Tykia Bland (Leanne Doud), Julius Williams Jr., Cory Patterson, and Gracia Patterson; his grandchildren, Gavyn Bland, Travontae Bland, Tykia Legacie Bland, Endia Anderson, and Julius Williams III; his brothers, Reginald (Jackie) Sanders and Elvin Remble; his sister, Shirley Todd; as well as a special niece, A'skari Newman and a special nephew, Alton Todd; and his father-in-law, Dennis Patterson, his uncles, Claiborne Ray Todd, Alvin Anderson, Ricky Anderson, Rodney Anderson, Johnny Lee Anderson, Eld. Michael Todd and Leroy Anderson, Jr., and his aunts, Joyce Scott, Florence Todd, and Annette Anderson.
He was preceded in death by his father, Wallace Sanders; his mother, Catherine S. Jones and his brother, Leonard Todd.
