Carrie Caston Anthony, aged 88, entered eternal rest on April 12, 2026.
Carrie was born on April 11, 1938 to Stella Caston, in Liberty, Mississippi. After completing her education in Mississippi, she went on to spend 61 years as a cherished resident of Slidell, LA. On January 17, 1964, Carrie married Eddie Anthony. She initially worked in residential cleaning before dedicating herself fully to her family as a homemaker. At the age of 40, Carrie embraced her faith, accepted Christ as her Savior, and became a devoted member of Jerusalem Baptist Church.
Carrie had a passion for gardening and a fondness for the color gold. Her family was the center of her world, and she served as its binding force, often spending weekends traveling to visit loved ones. Known for her generosity, Carrie gave selflessly, and her heart was as pure as gold.
Carries was preceded in death by her beloved mother, Stella Caston; her daughters, Joann Washington; her sister, Katie Mae Harrell; and her brothers, Curtis Bates, Leon Aych, Lee Taplin, and Herman Caston.
Carrie leaves behind a legacy of love. She is survived by her daughters, Sharon (Johnny) Sylve of St. Gabriel, LA, Kim (Michael) Patrick of Slidell, LA, and Beverly Anthony of New Orleans, LA; her son, Leonard Anthony of Lacombe, LA; 22 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren; and her sister, Martha Williams of Kenner, LA.
Carrie's memory will be cherished by all who knew her, as she leaves behind a family united by her unwavering love and generosity.
