Carl Pate Fedrowisch was born on December 13, 1950, in New Orleans, Louisiana to Ewald and Winnie Fedrowisch. He was the eldest of four siblings. As a young child, he was so curious his parents bought him an encyclopedia set to slake his thirst for knowledge. He would continue being a voracious life long learner with diverse interests in computers, HAM radio (KG5NXY), music and archaeology. During his life he would serve in the Merchant Marines during the Vietnam War, work as a technician at the Nuclear Science department at LSU and as a consultant for Intel in the Silicon Forest of the Northwest United States. After retiring, Carl remain dedicated to studying technology and archaeology. He was particularly fascinated with the history of the Bayou Bonfouca area and self published books about the Native Americans of Bonfouca and the translated poems of noted poet Adrian Rouquette or "Chahta-Ima". His works have been used as educational materials with his gracious permission. Carl passed away December 22, 2025 at the age of 75. He is survived by his two beloved children, daughter Elizabeth and son, Eric; his three grandchildren; his two younger sisters and younger brother; his many nieces and nephews; his lifelong friend Stanley Ebert and the many other good friends he made in a life well lived.
