Anthony Tyrone “Tony” Young was born on May 2, 1963, in Sun, Louisiana. He was the cherished son of the late Rudolph and Rosemary Young and the treasured grandson of the late Shed and Emma Robinson and Tyree and Zula Young.
From an early age, Anthony embraced his faith by accepting Christ. He went on to graduate from Abramson High School in New Orleans. He devoted many years of his career serving as a dedicated manager at Delchamps, leaving a lasting impact on those he worked with.
He is preceded in death by his parents Rudolph and Rosemary Young; his grandparents; a brother, Perry Young; and sisters, Patricia Helmstetter and Grace Young.
He leaves behind a legacy of love cherished by his beloved “sistermama” Zula (Jerry) Knox; a daughter, Tonette (H’seem) Alexander; and a granddaughter, H’ormonie Alexander. His memory will be fondly held by his sister, Gaynell (Warren) Fabre; brothers, Jerome (Celeste) Young and Pastor Frederick (Linda) Young; his nieces, Veronica, Monica, Vanessa, Nicole, Uniqua, ToiLoria, April, Alisa, and Chelsey; nephews, Warren II, Frederick Jr., Ricardo, and Anthony; aunts, Ella, Rose, Catherine, Barbara, Naomi, Freddie, and Marilyn; uncle, Deacon Tyree Young; and many cousins will forever hold him dear to their hearts.
