Freddie Roosevelt Laurant, Jr. was born on November 28, 1953, In Covington, Louisiana to the late, Freddie Roosevelt Laurant, Sr. and Anna Cole Laurant.
He was 65 years old when he departed his life on June 21, 2019 in Slidell, Louisiana. He was a member of Starlight Missionary Baptist Church, Covington, Louisiana, where he loved serving the Lord. He was a retired Shipyard worker and Painter.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Freddie R. Laurant, Sr and Anna C. Laurant; six sisters: Yvonne Laurant, Alfred Overtong, Camille Brown, Sedonia Casnave, Constance Laurant, Elouise Laurant and three brothers: Elton Laurant, Lindsey Laurant, Alvin Laurant.
He leaves to treasure his memories: his loving daughter, Hwonniesa Laurant-Keys, Son in Law, Willard Keys Jr; granddaughter, Mya L. Harper: step-daughters: Joelle Tabb and Adriann Joiner, and their Mother (his Longtime Friend) Melissa Tabb; his Godchildren: Alvin Laurant and Johnneshia McDowell; three brothers, Robert Laurant, Rickey (Cheryl) Laurant and Calvin Laurant; two sisters, Linda (Perry) Laurant and Annette Laurant, his best friend, Monroe Rheams and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
I am at peace, my soul's at rest, there is no need for tears ,for with your love I was so blessed. Rest assured; worry no more for I have gone home to be with My Lord
