Apostle Christine received her high school education at Fietchens High School in Springfield, IL. She later furthered her edcuation at Madam C J Walker Beauty Shool and earned a degree in Cosmetology in Chicago, IL. She met and married Mr. Freeman Simmons in Chicago, IL. Apostle Simmons loved bright colors, shopping, talking on the phone, watching western movies but most of all she loved God’s people and giving.

Apostle Simmons accepted Christ at the age of thirteen but in her mid twenties she joined the Light of the World, U.C.O.G.I.C. in Chicago, IL under the pasturage of Bishop Johnathan Greer, Sr. She was not one to just sit and be saved, for she was an active member of the Nurse and Missionary Boards, the Prayer Band; she was a dedicated soldier for the 9:00 am prayer and served for many years. Apostle Simmons relocated to Slidell, LA in 1975 and continued in the work of the Lord by forming a Monday Night prayer group. Apostle Simmons was a professional cosmetologist during day and at 8:00 pm the salon became a place of deliverance for all those who would come. Most got saved and filled with the Holy Ghost. The deliverance spread like fire and the prayer group grew beyond the capacity of the salon. On June 1, 2007, Christine Elaine Cole Simmons was installed as an Apostle for the 1st Ecclesseastial Jurisdiction of Louisiana under Bishops, Apostles, Prophets and Pastors (BAPPS) of Ambassadors in Christ Ministries, Inc; the late Apostle Prophet Joseph B.
